MARY KURY, Certified Childbirth Educator
I am the mother of three beautiful children and the wife of a hardworking arborist. Todd and I first embarked on our journey toward educated parenthood in February 2007. After taking a 12 week course dedicated to natural childbirth (The Bradley Method®), we made the informed decision to hire Linda Weaver and Amy Bixby as our midwives. In June, we welcomed our first daughter in a very normal homebirth. Since then, we've had the pleasure of adding two more children to our growing family, with our fourth due to arrive sometime in March 2012. Each birth has been a unique experience full of excitement and joy.
With Linda's encouragement, I decided to certify with The Bradley Method® in October 2007. Since that time, I've had the privilege of educating close to 200 couples in the Greenville and Spartanburg areas. The vast majority go on to have completely normal, non-medicated birth experiences.
My passion is educating families in the normal processes of pregnancy, labor, and birth while helping to involve the husband/partner as the irreplaceable support person. Birth is transformative and empowering. It is my goal to share this message with families all over the Upstate of South Carolina.
I am currently affiliated with The Bradley Method® and will complete my affiliation with Informed Beginnings and ICEA in the upcoming weeks.
